Since 2011, Sports Coaching Group has built a strong reputation for delivering safe, engaging and high-quality holiday provision trusted by schools and families.
Operating across 13 venues, alongside specialist and teen programmes, it provides inclusive environments for children of all ages.
As part of the holiday club offering we provide free holiday clubs and free food for children and teenagers eligible for the Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF: To check eligibility read section below).
All provision is Ofsted-registered, allowing parents to use childcare vouchers, and extended hours (8am-5pm) offer flexible, reliable childcare.
Programmes are designed to be inclusive and engaging, offering everything from multi-activity to specialist camps, alongside popular themed days that add variety and excitement.
Our multi-activity clubs focus on sports as well as arts, crafts, dance, fun and games.
We also run sport and activity specific clubs such as football, Nerf fun, cricket, dance, arts and craft.
The aim is to be as inclusive as possible.
For total flexibility for working parents/carers we can also offer childcare between 8am-5pm.
This is really popular with parents as they can drop off early and pick up late knowing that their children are in good hands.
Sports Coaching Group provides free holiday clubs and free food for some families through the HAF programme, which stands for Holiday Activity Fund.
We are proud to be working with Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Staffordshire County Council and Department for Education to provide holiday clubs free of charge.
Holiday clubs run by Sports Coaching Group include enrichment, mindfulness, wellbeing, sports activities and games.
They cater for children aged 5 to 17-years-old.
Who is eligible for HAF?
The HAF programme enables children and young people who are in receipt of income/benefits-related free school meals to attend free activities during the main school holidays, where nutritional food is also provided.
Last year, more than 4,000 children and families were supported through safe, engaging holiday provision.
Is there something for teenagers?
Sports Coaching Group also runs services for Teen HAF.
We offer YouthZone at SportsZone, in Sandbach, where youngsters can play on the golf simulator, pool, darts and watch Sky Sports while they enjoy a free lunch.
Also, we run HAF clubs for children and teenagers at Biddulph Youth and Community Zone where there is a gym, sports hall, gaming facility and dance studio.
There are also free courses for HAF teenagers such as 1st4Sport Level 1 for Activators (Multi-skills) for youngsters aged 14+.
Finally, we offer the Teen #HAF coaching experience where youngsters get the chance to work alongside Sports Coaching Group coaches to gain invaluable insights into the work and gain great experience.
As a carer and parent, if you qualify for HAF, we will deliver a programme of inclusive activities including a hot meal over the school holidays for children aged 5-17 years.
All our coaches are first aid trained, safeguarding trained and DBS checked.
Children will need suitable clothing for indoor and outdoor play, snacks and a packed lunch, plenty to drink and the correct attitude and behaviour for a challenging but thoroughly enjoyable experience.
For total flexibility for working parents we can also offer childcare/wraparound care between 8am and 9am and run our full day 3.15pm–5pm.
